Great tips! I virtually never use air conditioning because an open window and a fan are so much more energy efficient. Unfortunately, as someone who is really into home decor, I've found that most of the fans out there are very aesthetically unpleasing. I have found that Fanimation has really beautiful and creative ceiling and desk fans, and many of their fans are Energy Star rated.
Bob, Great video on how to reduce your summer cooling bills. I particularly liked your comments about the thermostat.
