There is a major misconception about ceiling fans and their ability to cool rooms … in fact, ceiling fans cool people, not rooms. Ceiling fans blowing air downward creates a breeze effect (in the summertime) which makes the room feel cooler than it actually is (up to 10 degrees cooler). The side benefit is this allows the user to turn the thermostat up a few degrees, maintaining comfort and spending less on an energy bill (savings up to 25% on cooling costs). But don’t forget, turn the ceiling fan off when you leave the room … it’s cooling you, not the room.
Another great benefit of ceiling fans is the ‘reverse motor’ ability on many models. This comes in handy in the winter time as the warm air in your home rises and the ceiling fan gently mixes the warm air down to where you are. You’ll notice the warm air reaching your body (in most cases) allowing you to reduce the workload of your heater.
It’s getting hot outside, make sure you stay safe and stay cool by using a ceiling fan in the room you’re in.

This fan is great! It's exactly what I was looking for. Good Quality & Affordable! I do wish it took regular light bulbs, but that's the only negative thing I can say about it. My husband liked that it was very easy to install.
Hope I can also find this design in a table lamp. Love to have a table lamp like this.
I am impressed by the line - "ceiling fans cool people, not rooms". This is really very nice. The whole blog is just excellent. The last benefit of using a ceiling fan, mentioned here, is truly remarkable.
Aaahh a very new info I got about ceiling fans that they cool people. Actually I also believe that old primitive machines are in some sense better than what we have in modern days.
Depending on utility rates in your area and how frequently you use the fan, this can result in a savings of between $15 and $25 per year versus standard fans.
I agree! Ceiling fan doesn’t just add beauty in every home, it also plays a significant role to keep the ambience of an area calm and inviting. Here’s a tip to achieve an optimal performance from your ceiling fan: make sure that the fan is 7-9 ft. above the floor, so there will be a breathing space for your home.
